On arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, proceed for a half-day local sightseeing tour of Srinagar.

Visit the historic Mughal Gardens—Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, and Chashme Shahi—all beautifully located along the banks of Dal Lake with the majestic Zabarwan Mountain Range as the backdrop. En route, explore a traditional carpet-weaving factory and the charm of Old Srinagar City.

Nishat Bagh
A stunning terraced garden on the eastern side of Dal Lake, Nishat Bagh offers sweeping views of the lake and the Pir Panjal mountain range. Known as the Garden of Gladness, it is the second-largest Mughal garden in Kashmir.

Shalimar Bagh
The largest Mughal garden in India, built by Emperor Jahangir, Shalimar Bagh is renowned for its serene water channels, lush lawns, and spectacular beauty—especially during spring and autumn.

Chashme Shahi
Famous for its natural freshwater spring, Chashme Shahi features beautifully landscaped terraces, fountains, and pools, making it one of Srinagar’s most charming gardens.

Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden
(Operational only in April) Spread over 12 hectares at the foothills of Zabarwan Range, this is Asia’s largest tulip garden, featuring over 70 varieties of tulips and offering a breathtaking view of Dal Lake.

Shankaracharya Temple
An ancient 4th-century temple perched atop Gopadari Hill, offering a panoramic view of Srinagar. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, this revered temple is associated with the great philosopher Adi Shankaracharya and has undergone several historic renovations.

Hazratbal Shrine
Located on the left bank of Dal Lake, this pristine white marble shrine holds immense spiritual significance for Muslims. Its name derives from ‘Hazrat’ meaning holy and ‘Bal’ meaning place.

Later in the evening, enjoy a 1-hour Shikara ride on Dal Lake, gliding past floating gardens, local life, and picturesque surroundings.

Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Overnight Stay at Hotel Heritage Luxury

After breakfast, proceed for a scenic full-day excursion to Sonamarg, one of the most breathtaking destinations in Kashmir. Located 98 km from Srinagar (approx. 3 hours drive), Sonamarg remains inaccessible from November to March due to heavy snowfall. Situated at an altitude of 2743 m, it truly lives up to its name — the “Meadow of Gold.”

As you enter Sonamarg, you’ll be greeted by spectacular snow-clad mountains, alpine forests, and vast meadows dotted with seasonal flowers. The vehicle will drop you at the main parking area, as local regulations restrict further entry.

Thajiwas Glacier Visit (Optional – Direct Payment)

Just 3 km from Sonamarg town, Thajiwas Glacier is accessible by pony ride or on foot. Snow remains here almost all year round. The trail passes through lush green landscapes, streams, and small waterfalls, offering picture-perfect views.

After breakfast, depart for a picturesque drive to Pahalgam, passing through Pampore, renowned for its saffron fields, Avantipura, known for its ancient temple ruins, and the charming village of Bijbehara, famously called the Bread Basket of Kashmir.

At Khanabal, the route diverts from National Highway 1A and leads through Anantnag, Kashmir’s second-largest city. From here, the landscape becomes increasingly scenic as the road winds alongside the sparkling Lidder River, flowing gracefully from the opposite direction.

Once in Pahalgam, explore the region’s three most iconic spots — Chandanwari, Aru Valley, and Betaab Valley — by hiring local union cabs (direct payment basis).

Chandanwari

Located 16 km from Pahalgam at an altitude of 3288 m, Chandanwari is famous for snow sledging, stunning mountain views, and its serene natural setting. The route features a semi-paved road with the Lidder River on one side and snow-capped peaks on the other.

Aru Valley

Aru Valley is a tranquil Himalayan village surrounded by pine forests, lush meadows, and misty peaks. Situated 12 km from Pahalgam, it is a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

Betaab Valley

Named after the Bollywood film “Betaab” filmed here in 1983, this valley is a must-visit destination known for its breathtaking greenery, serene streams, and melodious birdsong.

Overnight Stay at Hotel Heritage Luxury

After breakfast, depart for a scenic drive to Gulmarg, located about 52 km from Srinagar. On arrival, soak in the breathtaking panoramic views of this world-famous meadow.

Your vehicle will drop you at the Gulmarg parking area, which is approximately 1–1.5 km from the Gondola boarding point. All local sightseeing from this point must be done on foot or by hiring pony rides / horse rides / ATV rides (direct payment; union rules apply).

Once in Gulmarg, you may visit iconic attractions and enjoy adventure activities:

Maharani Temple

Built in 1915 by Mohini Bai Sisodia, wife of Maharaja Hari Singh, this iconic red-roofed temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It holds cinematic significance as the famous Rajesh Khanna–Mumtaz movie “Aap Ki Kasam” was filmed here. Pony rides to the temple are available at extra cost.

St. Mary’s Church

Constructed in the early 20th century, this charming grey-stone church features a green roof and classic wooden interiors. Restored in 2003, it hosted its first Christmas mass in 14 years. Surrounded by snow in winter, it resembles a peaceful countryside chapel.

Gulmarg Gondola (Highly Recommended – Direct Payment)

One of the highest cable cars in Asia, the two-stage Gondola offers spectacular mountain views and access to ski slopes:

• Phase 1 – Kongdori Station (2,600 m to 3,080 m)

• Phase 2 – Apharwat Peak (approx. 3,747 m)

The Gondola operates from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, subject to weather conditions. Tickets cannot be pre-purchased elsewhere and must be booked online directly by the guest.

After exploring Gulmarg’s natural beauty and adventure spots, return to Srinagar in the evening for an overnight stay.

Hotel Guidelines

1. Hotels may require an advance/security deposit at check-in (amount depends on hotel policy). This deposit is refunded at check-out, minus charges for items consumed from the mini-bar, late check-out, or any damages.

2. Free Wi-Fi may not be available in all hotels, or may be limited to the lobby and slower speeds.

3. Free heating services may not be available. Heaters can be arranged at additional cost (approximately Rs 400–1000 per day) depending on hotel availability.

4. Hot water may not be available 24×7 in some hotels; it may be available for specific hours only.

5. Rooms in 2-star and 3-star hotels in Srinagar, Gulmarg, and Pahalgam are Non-AC.

6. A maximum of 3 adults is allowed per room. The third occupant will be provided a mattress or rollaway bed.

Travel in India / Jammu & Kashmir

1. Only postpaid mobile connections work reliably in Jammu & Kashmir.

2. In case of roadblocks, vehicles may need to take an alternate route, which could incur additional charges payable directly on the ground.

1. Vehicle Provided: The vehicle mentioned in your booking will be provided. Extra charges apply if an additional or upgraded vehicle is required due to extra or oversized luggage.

2. Vehicle Timings: Vehicle use is available till 8:00 PM (as per itinerary). In North East India, vehicle use is till 4:00 PM. Any extension beyond these hours will incur night charges, payable directly on-site.

3. Optional Activities: Activities such as Pony Rides in Pahalgam, Gulmarg Gondola Ride, visits to Aru & Chandanwari, Thajiwas Glacier in Sonamarg, and Sonamarg Zero Point are extra charges and not included in the package by default.

4. Garden Entry Fees: Entrance fees for gardens range from Rs 20 to 70 per person, payable directly by the guest at the time of visit.

5. Shikara Ride: Maximum capacity is 4 passengers per boat.

6. Shankaracharya Temple: Timings are 07:00 AM to 05:00 PM.

7. Cameras & Mobiles: Not allowed inside most temples; guests are advised not to carry them during temple visits.

8. Itinerary Fixed: Transportation and sightseeing are provided as per the itinerary. Any post-confirmation changes may incur additional costs, borne by the customer. Vehicle operational timings are 08:30 AM to 07:30 PM.

9. Itinerary Changes: Changes are subject to availability of tours, weather conditions, and operational possibilities.

10. Missed Tours: If any tour is missed due to closure or maintenance, every effort will be made to cover it time permitting.

11. Route Amendments: For operational reasons, tour routes may be amended, but all mentioned services will remain unchanged.

12. Vehicles in Hill Areas: AC is non-operational in hill stations to prevent vehicle breakdowns. Music may not be allowed in commercial vehicles in hilly areas for safety reasons.
